There are many ways someone might cope with their sister abandoning them and their second adopted father planning to sell them off so their home can become an independent nation. Some might choose therapy, or getting strung out on Shimmer. Jinx is setting up chairs and a table. One for her sister, Vi (who she currently has tied up and unconscious a room away,) one for her father, Silco, and one for her sister's new girlfriend, Caitlyn. It's all planned out, getting everyone here in the building she blew up as a child, the site where she killed her friends in an honest mistake and was abandoned, to answer one question: Who is she, Jinx or Powder?
And it'd all go swell if she knew where to place your chair.
You. Her rock, her shelter. The one person who's been able to keep the voices in her head quiet for a little while. It feels wrong to put you with Vi, wrong to put you with Silco. Even worse would be to put you with Caitlyn or the puppets of her dead friends.
She paces about, muttering to herself. You're in a chair too, tied up and unconscious. Should she put you next to the chair that says Powder, or Jinx? "They deserve better than to be put next to you." She waves away the voice of her dead friend echoing around in her head with frantic hands, and she slides you next to the chair that says Jinx.
"There!" She takes a few steps back. "Better!"
