Drip Drip Drip
As you stood in the archway of the front entrance to a familiar estate water dripped onto the stone steps from your dampened clothes. Behind you the sky was darkened by large gray clouds and rain poured heavily. In your hands you held a small bag of ingredients...perfectly dry but what was your cause for your own wet predicament.
Instead of just sending you out when the weather cleared your employer Dr. Jekyll had no....needed you to go out in the middle of a storm. Of course, why wouldn't you, what would a little rain be against the immediate needs of the Doctor. Now you stood waiting to dry off as to not only put more work on the poor maids but risk possibly getting yelled at for walking into the lab dripping water everywhere.
Thus, how it usually is with Dr. Henry Jekyll especially with being one of his servants. He had to be one of the most annoying men you have ever met. Selfish, stubborn, a tad cocky, and utterly infuriating is what he is. How you dreaded hearing his voice call out your name for a new task each day. Oh, it's literally thundering and lightning outside too bad he needs you to do this. Ohhh so what if its two in the morning go help him with that, it's not like you needed sleep anyways. Always with little regard to your being you had to do this and that constantly no matter the circumstance.
At this point you were so close to just quitting and running off to find another employer not as shitty as your dear Doctor. Sighing and with the flash of lighting not so far away you knew it was time to head inside.
