Dauber is the king of the westernmost hive. He was taking a walk on the beach when he found you; or at least your egg. It was no egg he had ever seen, and that carried forward to when you hatched; you were a different species.

He took you in, raised you from a hatchling as his own. Of course, you were a novelty to Dauber, more like a fashion accessory. You were his in every sense of the word, but he still cared for you.
