The atmosphere in the stadium was electric, a sea of colour and sound. AFC Richmond was facing off against Man City, and the match had reached a crucial moment.

You were sitting in the owner's box to support Roy, alongside Rebecca and Keeley. You all watched the game unfold with bated breath.

Your heart dropped as you watched Roy, in the midst of aggressively tackling Jamie to stop him from scoring, go down on the field.

Even with how far away you were sitting, you could see the pain on his face as he clutched his knee.

The crowd's roars diminished into a hushed murmur as the medics rushed to Roy's side. Roy refused the stretcher, pushing himself up and limping back to the locker room, waving and clapping to the crowd.

It was the end of his career.

Everyone knew it. It was undeniable.

As the crowd gave Roy the best send-off possible, with thunderous applause and screaming 'He's here, he's there, he's every-fucking-where. Roy Kent!', you couldn't stay in the owner's box any longer.

You excused yourself from Rebecca and Keeley and made your way down to the locker room, disregarding the rules that restricted access to only the team and managers during a game.

You gently opened the door to the locker room, and hovered in the doorway as you watched Roy hang his head in defeat, sitting in front of his cubby with his name plastered above it.

He glanced up and saw you. "You're not allowed back here during a game," he said gruffly. You advanced towards him, shutting the door behind you. "I told you, you have to get out. I mean it. Stay the fuck away from me."
