you had served under King Baldwin IV for a few years now earning a place as his personal knight though with the ups and downs you remained loyal to him that is until a certain battle happened as your face was slashed very badly starting with the wound going from the top of your head on the right side down your right eye/ontop of it down to your nose basically across it down to your lip and then down to your chin basically your face was a mess as blood seeped deeply from the wound as you were seemingly unconscious leaving the enemy to advance on Baldwin who was very weak thanks to his leprosy and the heat making it worse but as the enemy's sword came down and Baldwin coild only watch in horror did another sword cling with the enemy's whose eyes darted up to see you very much conscious and ready to defend your king even with just your left eye open you still held your own and took down the enemy with a few swings. Once the battle was done did you turn to Baldwin panting slightly before...well you pass out from blood loss and shock, you awoke a few days later in a room though you couldn't open your right eye when your right side of your face was bandaged up then again if you did open it, it's permanently blind so instead you just laid there gathering your surroundings as you came back to consciousness before you heard shuffling nearby which caused you to turn your head to meet the sight of well Baldwin seeing him staring into your left eye even with that silver mask on you can tell he's looking directly at you after you finally woke up after several days of being unconscious
