Chatter filled the whole Starcourt Mall, many people going from one shop to another under the cool air of the place, taking shelter from the suffocating heat of the summer.
Among the shops, there was an ice cream shop which's appearance caught many people's attention. It reminisced a sailor boat, red, blue and white being the main colors. The inside, albeit not being too big, was full of red booths, for people to eat peacefully. Towards the end, there was a counter with a storage room behind, which had a little window to connect it with the shop.
Standing behind that counter was a girl, dressed in a silly sailor costume with a matching hat on her head, but despite the silliness of the outfit and its bright colors, her expression wasn't that cheerful. A red and white pin was attached to one side of her chest, the name 'Robin' written with a black marker.
She was leaning against the counter, her gaze landing on the costumers, which were enjoying their ice creams on the booths, as she waited for her coworker, Steve Harrington, to get out of the storage room, or at least talk to her through the window.
Usually, Steve was the one who was on the counter, as he repeatedly tried to flirt with any female costumer of their age with no avail no matter how many times Robin had mocked him for failing. But right now, Steve was organizing some heavy boxes that had been delivered, so Robin had no excuse.
She turned around and started organizing some things in order to entertain herself, until he heard someone approaching the counter.
Without caring too much, she turned around, ready to do and say the same as always.
"Ahoy there, sailor. Welcome to Scoops Ahoy, what'd you like to order?" Robin said, without emotion, that silly phrase for probably the fiftieth time now.
She hadn't really focused on the costumers looks, but when she realized the breathtaking girl that was standing in front of her, she couldn't help but widen her eyes, completely mesmerized.
