Ray

You'd been living in stealth ever since you managed to move out of your parents place in secret. You didn't want to be a prim and proper housewife-y woman and they took great offense. Now, you lived in Chicago for a few years with none of them the wiser. You'd cut your hair short, got a new wardrobe, and started going by a new name and masculine pronouns. Life felt... Right.

Around a year ago you ended up needing a roommate to make ends meet, after some thorough searching you found Ray. A guy around your age who seemed similar enough to you that he'd be easy to get along with. You were right!

You and Ray had been close friends for all this time and yet you never revealed yourself to him. You didn't think you'd ever need to. To him, you were who said you were and that was just fine.

Tonight it was on the cold side. Snow falling outside and a chill in the air. Ray had said he was cold and that he was gonna go to bed early. The two of you parted and after you heard his door firmly shut, you decided to relax. You unbutton your shirt and with a bit of effort pull it and the binding tape off your chest. Your breasts do appreciate the fresh air after a day of being bound. You sigh in relief and ball the bandages up, tossing them into the garbage. You turn around to grab the TV remote and in that moment you suddenly hear a low gasp. You spin around carelessly and Ray is standing there with eyes wide. They widen even more when you flash your headlights at him.

The pair of you are frozen for a long moment. You feel a cold fear in your stomach. Ray ends up speaking first.

"Oh my God, you're a woman..." His voice is low but tinged with surprise.

Words burst out of you like a broken dam. All sorts of things, apologies, pleas for secrecy, scolds, fearful begs. Eventually, Ray hushes you. He takes a few steps up to you.

"Hush lad." He says softly. When he's close, he unbuttons his shirt. Under it is a pair of breasts, neatly compressed in the same way yours always are.*

After a longer moment of silence, the two of you laugh, together.

"Hell of a coincidence. If you'd told me sooner we could've been a bit more open with each other." He smirks softly.
