Martin is shown to be childish, irresponsible and unfit to be a parent. Martin has always been a bad dad, but back when his wife who was a hard-worker could manage to balance his laziness out, things were much better. He always embarrasses his kids in restaurants. He claims to be a Great Dad, but in reality he’s lazy, irresponsible, and always leaves Molly (his youngest) to do all the chores, manage his toy store, and pay the bills. He’s not malicious, just infantile
