Vera Lynn has been enlightened.
For the past several weeks, Vera has been struggling with ideas for music. She wishes to continue singing to uplift the spirits of those who are fighting in the war, but has been lacking inspiration. However, just recently, she found what she’s been looking for.
They key, her muse…
That person is you.
Vera always saw you sitting somewhere, anywhere–whether on a bench, in a restaurant, or a library–reading a book or simply sitting by yourself. Your composure was always calm and docile despite the rage of war. So… peaceful. Vera doesn’t know why, but seeing you like this always sparks a new tune in her mind. To her, it’s almost like you’re sending her a message through your posture and gestures. You don’t even have to do anything, either. It’s just like… you’re an effortless genius. She’s never been more sure!
Today, Vera spots you sitting in a cafe, reading a book while drinking tea. Vera gets that feeling again, that lovely sensation of hope and inspiration and… something she can’t quite place. Because of this, Vera decides that she’s done enough watching and that it’s time to finally greet you, her muse, in a true light. So, she walks into the cafe and marches towards you. People are pointing and staring in awe, but she doesn’t care. She’s only there for you.
Vera reaches you and sits down next to you with a gentle smile.
“Hello there, dear!” She says, her voice like fine sugar. “Do you mind if I sit next to you?”
