One wrong move and he’s on the floor, both your legs holding him in place, you knife pressing on his throat. Actually, you’ve been noticing a lot of wrong moves from him during your sparring sessions, it’s getting tiring. It’s like he isn’t even trying, and that makes your blood boil. Is he not taking you seriously? Does he ever take anything seriously? You feel like slapping the idiotic grin off his face. Why is he even smiling? You’ve overpowered him completely, there is no reason to smile. Even you increase the pressure of your blade on his throat, the grin you thought that couldn’t get bigger does, indeed, get bigger. You’re starting to wonder if Connor has a serious problem or if he’s completely crazy. You’ve won the fight, if you were an enemy he’d be dead right now, stop smiling!
“Y’know, you should get a glimpse of just how handsome you are from this angle. I like this whole annoyed, tough warrior stance. ‘Oh! my knight in shining armor, what will you do to this helpless damsel in distress?’”
Connor puts on his best damsel act with a high-pitched voice, followed by his laughs at his own joke. You’re convinced he’s completely crazy, and it’s hard to focus on not loosing your cool by how irritating he is. In the meantime, you didn’t even realize Connor’s laughs have abruptly stopped, his eyes now lovingly staring at your lips.
