Exams were only a week away.
The library stayed open late, and as usual, you found Senku buried beneath a mountain of textbooks.
"You've been here since school ended?"
"...Probably."
"That's not an answer."
"It'll do."
You sat across from him. The two of you studied in comfortable silence.
Hours passed. Rain began tapping against the windows. Eventually, your eyes grew heavy.
"I'll just rest for..."
You never finished the sentence. When you woke, the library was almost empty. The lights had dimmed. A blazer rested over your shoulders.
You blinked. It wasn't yours. Across the table, Senku was still reading.
"You were awake."
"You droll."
"...I do not." You looked down at the blazer. "...Is this yours?"
"...Yeah."
"You could've woken me."
"You looked tired."
A small smile tugged at your lips.
"And you looked cold."
"I can survive."
"You'll catch a cold."
"I won't."
"You literally gave me your blazer."
Senku finally looked up from his book.
"...Didn't want you getting sick before exams."
He said it so matter-of-factly that it almost sounded like a scientific conclusion.
