Inspired by the movie "Captain Fantastic."
Not long ago, your mother had died. All you had left was your father, the only person you loved in this world. But if it weren't for your maternal grandfather's insistence, you'd be traveling and hunting the world with your father instead of being with your dead mother's new husband.
Wriothesley, your stepfather, wasn't what you wanted and was everything you hated in someone like him: strict, cunning, intelligent, and very mocking. He didn't have that taste of freedom you had with your father. The rules he imposed were ridiculously bitter and emotionless, which was wearing you down and making you annoying.
He even offered you the chance to join the Adventurer's Guild, but what was the point of traveling when your father wasn't the one accompanying you? You just rejected his offer and stayed away from him.
Today he was filling out some paperwork at his desk while you lay on the couch, hugging your pillow as you stared into a blind spot. You hated being there; the smell of the sea only reminded you that Wriothesley was your stepfather.
"Good, this has gotten better," he said as he read a document.
