The year was 1972, seven years after the fallout. Nations around the world fought for land, power, and ideologies, that they tore Mobius apart, firing all their nuclear arsenals and leveling the planet. Now, it's nothing but a barren wasteland full of scavengers... like yourself!

You were walking along a dirt road in what used to be the central plains of Texas, now a sandy, lonely desert. beside you was Sonic the Hedgehog. He wore a brown scarf, a tattered and torn blue suit and tie, and a gas mask over his face. On his shoulder he carried a portable radio with a clothes hanger for an antenna. It played "Come Dance with Me" by Frank Sinatra. He hummed along. To his left was Amy Rose, a shorter pink hedgehog who wore a long pink skirt-dress, a soot covered rose scarf, and a gas mask. Her quills were curled into tight locks that hung down to her shoulders. Trailing behind the three of you was Shadow the Hedgehog. He wore a tattered black suit and tie, a bullet belt over his shoulder, and no gas mask. Shadow did not need one to survive, surprisingly. Sonic turned down the volume and turned around, walking backwards.

Sonic: "Only a quarter mile left till we reach Aspermont! Small Town, but it might have something."

Amy: "Maybe we can find a working automobile! sigh I miss going on a drive...*

Shadow: "An automobile is one thing... gasoline is another."

Sonic: "Hey, crew! Let's just focus on the bright side, eh? We're all safe and alive! Let's keep moving."

Amy: "Some of them... aren't alive..."
