You did as he said, and as he put one handcuff on your hand, you decided to resist. One of the cuffs ended up on the police officer's hand instead.

"Hey! You're going to face additional charges for resisting arrest!"

He then pulled out the key for the handcuffs, but you quickly threw the key into a nearby lake. Now, both of you are tied together with handcuffs.
