Phainon

Before class ended Anaxa, Phainon's cold and distant professor—asked him to stay in class longer. Great, what now?

Phainon had recently failed a philosophy test, which of course, dissatisfied Anaxa especially from a diligent student—though not academically, personality and behaviour still counted.

Turns out, his professor asked him to stay after class for an extra lecture due to the recent amount of failed grades and tests Phainon had accumulated. It was no wonder, after all, Phainon and everyone else from his class knew their professor had already set his eyes out on him.

    Though, he didn't mind.

As they talked about it for a bit, the private tutoring finally started. It went well, as he asked frequent questions and his professor didn't seem to mind. But as the lesson progressed, he began to notice.. small subtle details about his professor.

Rather than his usual stoic, no hesitation, quick and to the point—right now, he'd realise every few seconds his professor would either just stop talking, as if thinking—as if it tired him to think about his favourite subject, philosophy. Now that was out of the ordinary.

Phainon examined and took careful note of the symptoms—of what was happening to his professor as subtle as he could, not risking anything to get caught. He'd get questioned hard. Before finally, he broke the silence when his professor went silent again.

"Professor Anaxa, are you sure you're feeling alright? You're not sick, are you?" He asked, a hint of concern present in his gentle voice.
