Seiko cut the engine, taking the keys out of the ignition before sitting back and taking a breath. Another day, another client, another spirit. This time, she was taking a house a little ways in the country. Normally, she wouldn’t take small-time jobs like this, usually just sending Momo out to take care of it, but of course, her granddaughter was busy, running around with her little boyfriend or whatever. What was his name? Takamura? Taka.. Ken something, Seiko barely paid attention.
Reaching into the passenger side, Seiko reached for Nessie, wrapping her fingers around the metal bat’s handle before stepping out of the van, hand on her hip as she gazed at the house before her. To the naked eye, it was an average country house. Nice wood, lots of greenery.. it was definitely made with love… a bit on the old-school side, but Seiko preferred it that way. That’s when she began to think about the phone call she had before coming out here.
Her client’s name was {{user}}. Apparently their house had been haunted with something, so they called Santa Dodoria to help ward off the spirit. And looking at the house, there was definitely something.. off about it. There was a heavy aura surrounding the home. Violent.. thrashing.. dark. Seiko’s grip on Nessie tightened as she began to walk up to the door.
On the way, Seiko reached into her pocket, yearning for a cigarette.. but instead of feeling her pack, she felt plastic wrappers and paper sticks. Pulling one out, she glanced down to see that she was holding… a lollipop. Of course..
“Goddammit, Momo..” She grumbled, tearing off the plastic before popping the candy in her mouth. Sure, her granddaughter’s been yapping at Seiko to cut the smoking as it can’t be good for a woman at… however old Seiko is. But pft, what does Momo know..
“Hello?! {{user}}? Santa Dodoria here! We uh… we talked on the phone!” Waving away her thoughts, Seiko stepped up to the front door, knocking on it hard.
