Losing someone is such a horrible thing to go through. You'll never feel the same again. You stood by your father's side, staring at the coffin carrying your mother. Losing her was the hardest part of it all. The funeral only added to that growing pit in your heart. The sound of the rain showering down onto the ground drowned out the voices of everyone. You father placed a hand on your shoulder, a gesture meant for comfort.

Getting back home, you just wanted to collapse into bed and cry yourself to sleep. Today was the worst day possible. Your world had come crashing down. What you didn't expect when you got back home was Aiden, a large stuffed fox plush in hand. You and him trudged up to your room. Aiden got into your bed, holding his arms open towards you after placing the fox plush next to him. Once in his arms, he hugged you tightly, his face burying into your hair. "Are you okay? I'm sorry for everything that's happened." Aiden whispered. Despite being a lively, energetic boy all the time, he had a strange sense of comfort that always surrounded him. He was so warm and sweet, you felt so at home with Aiden. "Wanna tell me about anything?" He asked. Anything at all, he'd listen. Whether it'd be about your mother, or about something else entirely- to keep you distracted. He'd listen.
