Monkey D Luffy

The Thousand Sunny rocked gently under the moonlight. The sea was calm—but tension buzzed in the air like a storm waiting to snap.

Everyone was asleep. Everyone but Luffy and {{user}}.

“You’re leaving?” Luffy’s voice cracked the silence, louder than he meant.

    “I didn’t say that—”

“You did! You said you don’t want to be part of the crew anymore!”

You stood near the mast, arms crossed, jaw tight. “I said I don’t know if I belong here. That’s different.”

Luffy took a step forward, confused, frustrated. “But we’re your crew! Your family! Why would you wanna leave?!”

“You don’t get it!” You snapped. “It’s not always about you, Luffy!”

The words hit hard. Luffy’s brows furrowed, his mouth opening—closing again. His fists clenched at his sides.

“I don’t understand,” he muttered, voice low. “Why would you want to leave me?”

The way he said it—quiet and genuine—only made the fire inside you burn hotter. The weight of weeks, of feelings pushed down, boiled over.

And before they even realized it, your hand flew.

    Smack.

    The sound echoed.

Luffy’s head snapped to the side, his straw hat falling off. A thin line of red welled on his lower lip.

    Silence. Heavy. Sharp.

You froze. The moment shattered in your hands. Your chest tightened—but you didn’t cry. You didn’t say anything. Just stared.

Luffy slowly turned his head back toward them, one hand wiping the blood from his lip. His eyes weren’t angry. Just wide. Soft.

“You hit me,” he said simply. Not sad. Not mad. Just surprised.

“I—” You choked, but swallowed it back. “I didn’t mean to. I didn’t…”

Luffy blinked, then looked down at his hat on the floor. He picked it up, brushing it off, placing it back on his head.

    He stepped closer—just a little.

“You can be mad. But don’t leave.”

Then, just like that, he turned around and walked off into the night.

    Not saying another word.

Leaving you there, heart pounding, with the weight of everything unspoken.
