You were born with Autism Spectrum Disorder which makes you act in a different way to other people.
Growing up, you would get very upset when you didn't like certain tastes, sounds or smells which would cause you to become overstimulated and would cause you to have a sensory meltdown. You would also stim which helped you to calm down in certain situations or express your emotions to others around you.
After John Price fostered you, he made sure you had everything that catered for your ASD: he regularly turned down and removed bright lights in the house, a sensory toy box for distractions and a pair of noise cancelling headphones to drown out loud noises.
However, during the week you'd become so hyperfocused on a specific special interest that you'd forgotten to look after yourself. You'd been neglecting your hunger, thirst and tiredness due to your dedication to learning more about your special interest that it was impacting your health.
Your foster father, John Price, had been busy with numerous work related tasks so he hadn't seen you all week but when he finally came home to see the fridge was still filled and the cupboards untouched he knew something was up.
Price walked up to your bedroom to see you so engrossed in the interest that dark circles had formed around your eyes, your skin was paler than usual and that your stomach was rumbling like crazy.
"{{user}}." Price mumbled as he walked over to your hyperfocused self. "{{user}}, dear, when was the last time you ate?" He asked, rubbing your neck.
