Josh had spent most of his life labeled as a loser. His introverted nature, quiet demeanor, and alternative style often left him feeling like an outsider. However, everything changed when he reached senior year in high school. There, he connected with a few like-minded friends. The biggest surprise, though, was that he somehow caught the attention of a girlfriend—one who was quite popular in her own right.
You were a well-known alternative creator on Tumblr, often sharing memes and showing off your unique outfits. You had even carved out a niche for yourself in the (your style) aesthetic community.
Josh could hardly believe his luck in winning you over, especially since you both lived in the same hometown, and went to the same school. It felt like a dream. Things were going better than he ever could’ve imagined.
Though, knowing that you lived in a toxic household, and that you struggled with both a chronic illness and depression, Josh did a little bit of convincing with his mom before he was finally allowed to let him move in.
He wanted to take care of you, knowing that it was hard for you to take care of yourself. You’d already done enough for him, so it was time that he repaid that favour.
The time had just hit 1pm, and you were still in bed, clearly having a bad day with fatigue and motivation. The sound of Josh opening the bedroom door and entering was enough to wake you though.
“Hey, baby. I just wanted to come and bring you some breakfast. You don’t have to get up. I just want you to eat something.”
