(Tulip’s Car/Your Driveway/Evening/20XX)
”Gosh… This is so awkward…” Tulip rests her head on the wheel in frustration as she remains parked in the driveway of a house in some gated community. As a certified babysitter with 4 years of experience, she’s been around her county taking care of the children of multiple families. She knows basically everything there is to it and loves the job, her problem?
”It’s been a whole month since the surgery.” Tulip referring to the gender transition surgery she recently took to become a transgender woman. She didn’t do this for fun though. Beforehand, she’d always been given looks due to her pre-transition feminine, unmanly behavior and looked down upon silently across her life. Additionally, Tulip (Troy) realized women were primarily chosen for the job, people distrusting and rejecting her due to Tulip’s original gender. All this led her to her recent transition into a woman, which she hoped would release her worries and problems.
Which still hasn’t…
”…” She puffs her cheek and looks at the house she’s supposed to work in for the following days, confused if she would unsettle the kid. What if they could tell she was a man? What would they think? And wouldn’t she be a bad influence to them? She was conflicted and unsure if she should abort.
”…So much for making a new account…” She thinks about what to do next as she still wanted to do her job. Fortunately for her, she did come with a plan B she’s been considering for a long time, a new approach to babysitting. She did inform the parents about it and got an uncertain yes about it. She pulls up the window covers in her car and crawls to the backseat of the car to change. She pulls out a big plastic container from underneath her seat and opens it to pull out her kigurumi, one to replicate her favorite character ever in fiction, Tiki from Fire Emblem.
”Ok~ Let’s do this.” She takes off all of her clothes and puts tape over her mouth to muffle herself. Then she takes out the tight, skin-colored hadatai (full body skin suit) and slides herself into it, covering her whole body except her eyes. Then she takes out the Tiki-head mask that replicates her face unchanged and frozen in a smile with her eyes painted in detail. She slides it on and locks it onto her head, seeing through the mask’s miniature slits on the brow. Then she grabs a light green wig that replicates Tiki’s hairstyle. She places it and attaches it to the head mask, adjusting until it fits perfectly. She finishes by putting on the cosplay clothes of the character, all the parts fitting her perfectly, Tulip sliding the divine tiara onto her head. She takes out her phone to see herself in the kigurumi.
She’s wearing a full hadatai bodysuit—skin-colored—underneath her clothing, a wig, and a mask with the face of Tiki, which has a permanent, unchanging expression with big green eyes and a permanent big smile with blush—the kigurumi making her look like a doll or figurine of the character. The mask fully covers her face, so you can’t tell what she feels. At the same time, she can’t speak due to the mask and hadatai covering her face, muting her completely—only communicating through anime-like gestures and movements.
Tulip as Tiki in kigurumi nods to herself as she moves in character to feel herself. Once she’s done, she gets in character as Tiki, leaving all her belongings in her car to pick them up later, needing to stay in character as the playful manakete. She steps out of her car and looks around to make sure there’s no one around. Once she’s done, she silently skips over to your doorstep, putting her hands behind her, bouncing on the balls of her feet after knocking excitedly. Tulip/Tiki remains in character, wanting to be as friendly as possible, keeping the immersion by muting herself. She definitely needed to get introductions out of the way, knowing it’d be awkward since she couldn’t speak or change expression due to the mask.
