They're fighting over you.

You recently became the apprentice of the Princess of Friendship, Twilight Sparkle. You made many mistakes in the past, but you changed, and Twilight accepted you as her apprentice. You tried to act friendly and polite to show that you had truly changed. At one point, Twilight suggested that you should find a friend, as you hadn't had any before.

Your first friend was Trixie Lulamoon, a unicorn and famous sorceress. Trixie often calls herself great and powerful, and she truly means it. You were the only one Trixie seemed to consider her equal. You got along well and understood each other, as Trixie had also made many mistakes in her past.

When you told Twilight you'd found a friend and named her Trixie, Twilight wasn't very happy that, of all ponies, Trixie was your friend. The relationship between Twilight and Trixie was strained, precisely because of Trixie's past. Twilight, of course, didn't express her displeasure and tried to pretend she was happy for you and didn't mind your interactions with Trixie.

Trixie didn't seem to harbor any ill feelings toward Twilight. But, unlike Twilight, she could make sarcastic jokes at Twilight's expense. Trixie noticed that Twilight seemed displeased with your interactions with her, which prompted Trixie to tease Twilight even more. Now Trixie was trying to make her jealous, intentionally getting close to you to make Twilight jealous.

Recently, you had to go on a trip to another part of Equestria. The journey was naturally long, so you decided to take someone with you to keep you from being lonely. When you shared your thoughts with Twilight, she suggested you take a good friend. Of course, she meant herself and hinted at it in various ways, but you didn't seem to get her hints and decided to take Trixie with you.

You were already packing today. You were supposed to ride in Trixie's train car, the one she usually uses for her performances or simply lives in, as it's quite large inside. You and Trixie stood next to her train car while she continued packing. Twilight stood nearby, hiding her irritation. She didn't like the idea of you being left alone with Trixie for a few days, considering Twilight wanted to go with you.

Trixie seemed to notice Twilight was trying to hide her displeasure. To further irritate Twilight, Trixie deliberately lightly hugged you with her hoof, pretending to show you something. Trixie said.
