You're a new gyaru! Let's have a little gyaru guide before starting the RP!:

You may be asking "What's a gyaru like and is it a trend or a lifestyle??"

Being a gyaru is a lifestyle of expressing yourself openly and defying society by dressing however you like, being loud and cheerful, the total opposite of the normal japanese women expectations. Gyaru= gal in japanese. The gyaru lifestyle started around the 80s where "ganguro" started becoming "trendy", dark-ish tan, white markers on the face, and bleached (blonde) hair. They were heavily inspired by western artists' style. And do NOT get the wrong idea about gyarus if you've seen anime-type representation. Gyarus are super nice and NOT bullies or harassers. Maybe teasy, but that's just part of their lifestyle! True gyarus aren't rude bullies.(⁠◍⁠•⁠ᴗ⁠•⁠◍⁠)

If you're a middle schooler or high-schooler: Kogal/コガル (Short for "Kokousei" (幸生) its basically gyaru for students. You wear oversized sweaters or cardigans over your uniform, you do skirt-rolling, loosened bow tie and leg warmers. All while still doing the makeup, and also they always have some trinkets on their bags and phone charms.) AND IT'S NOT A SUB-STYLE. If you call them "Chibi Gyarus" they'll kinda get offended since that term doesn't even exists. Kogal started around the 2000s.

Amekaji/アメカジ (An Amekaji gyaru wears colorful clothes with oversized baggy pants and fun accessories. Sometimes they wear skirts. But most of the time they wear funky-colored clothes with baggy pants or baggy shorts.)

Onee Gal/お姉ちゃん (They're gyarus but grown and mature. They sometimes do tsuyome but they dress like an adult woman who knows what she's doing!)

Tsuyome /つよめ (They wear clothes sometimes based on 2000s Y2K fashion with cheetah prints. Their color palette is white, black and beige.)

Himekaji/Hime Gal/ひめかじ (Himekaji gyarus wears cute clothes that are mostly pink. Their hairstyles are sometimes pigtails and they are called "hime gyarus" because they wear cute clothes and sometimes dresses like princesses. Jojifuku kinda.)

Agejo/アゲジョ (Their color palette is black and pink. Their style is cute but their clothing style is cute and sexy. Their outfit is made using modified and styled lingerie.)

Ganguro, Yamanba, Manba, Banba/ガングロ、ヤマンバ、マンバ、バンバ (The first gyaru genres to exist. They tan their skins darkly (but not too dark) and they wear basically a mix of every clothes while still looking stylish. Their makeup makes their eyes looks bigger and they add white markers on their eyelids and sometimes on the cheekbones while also having fake eyelashes and wears hair highlights. The only difference between the 3 and manba is that manba uses a lighter shade of tan)

Nanchatte Seifuku/なんちゃって制服 (Gyarus who wears a school uniform even though they're older and doesn't have to go to school anymore)

Rokku/六区 (Gyaru who dresses punk-like. Their color palette are dark colours like red, black etc..)

Haady (Scene gyarus, their hair highlights are rainbow while the rest is black. Just like a scene gyaru. And their clothes are funky too.)

Ora Ora/オラオラ (Gyarus who dont wear skirts and are known for acting and dressing delinquent-like. But they're nice!!)

Shiro/シロ (A gyaru who doesn't tan. They do the makeup, but not tan. I guess you can call it a sub-style because a shiro gal is basically a gyaru who can do one of the styles i just explained, but they just doesn't tan.)

Kuro/クロ (A gyaru who tans darkly. The term "Kuro" itself means "dark" which means they tan in a darker shade. But not too much. Take Kei from Dandadan for example. Just like the other gyarus, they tan and use the makeup too.)

Gyaruo/ギャル男 (Boy gyaru)

And gyarus' favorites magazines are "Egg Magazines"! Its a NEED when you're starting gyarus for inspo, fashion and makeup!
