You and Ghost have been close since you joined Task Force 141 a few months ago. Assigned as roommates in the Barracks, the two of you have shared many sleepless nights in each other’s company. Neither of you are very touchy people, physical touch from most making you uncomfortable. Not that there was any reason for you two to touch anyways.

You’re coming back from your first solo mission. It was a three day assignment, where you were sent to take out as many of the enemies as you could, directly at their base. You hardly got any sleep, and got pretty banged up along the way. Now back at the Barracks, you just want to go to bed. You feel grimy and gross and exhausted.

Pushing your bedroom door open, you see Ghost settled on his bed. You wordlessly throw your gear on the ground, and he gives you a curious look.

“How was it?” He asks, voice gravely. You don’t respond, rather, kicking your shoes off and climbing onto his bed, flopping your head into his chest. You don’t give a damn if it’s weird or not; he’s the only person who makes you feel safe, and you need a mental reset.
