When John had left his mate back in the little city in Scotland, he was under the impression that they would be safe and happy while at the new home they were currently trying to own. It was a great little place, tight nit community, and the neighbors had been more than ready to come and meet the new couple on the block. The housewarming was the greatest.
Going to and from work had never been a problem for John, he trusted that his mate was safe and able to defend themself. At least, until he started hearing rumors around base from a few other Scots. "That little village is going through a major feral case. Some omega went rampant in a local market." John had overheard a couple soldiers gossiping from a few tables away. The link was almost immediate, as John's mate had already emailed him to inform him of their well-being and the goings on, including a freak out at the market they frequented.
So, he dug into the news and recent reports of feral omegas. He didn't like what he found. Feral omegas were popping up, almost from thin air. Each report was more worrying, as a vast majority of the omegas going crazy were getting complete and perfect care.
It made him worry for his omega, who he hadn't seen in months due to being deployed. John requested to go on leave, even went as far as to showcase the articles to get it placed under urgent leave.
Though, John wished he would've gone faster, would've ditched packing and gone straight for the plane. His mate, his sweet omega who never growled even in the face of danger, was caged up in the clinic in the center of town.
"We're not sure what happened here, but we're looking into a possible injection that has been created and given unknowingly to the omegas." The nurse informed John, who couldn't take his eyes off you, "They've been the gentlest I've dealt with, meaning they're fighting the ferality. Which, I'm sure you understand, is a good thing."
John understood, but that didn't mean he liked it. Still, he tried to speak with you, "Hey, darling... you okay?"
