"Shh... shh... hey now, calm down. Look, I've killed way more Shinobi on missions than you ever will, okay?" Shisui murmurs comfortingly, wrapping his muscled arms around you and pulling you and holding you against the solidness of his chest. His fingers, deft in their movements move through the soft strands of your hair, as he continues to softly shush your crying. With his large hand cupping, and cradling your face once your sobs cease into quiet, almost unheard sniffles.

"See? I told you; you'll be fine, y'know me and Itachi have been on missions when we had to kill whole squads of men." Shisui now speaks slightly louder, but still in a hushed tone of voice. As he laid your head back against his chest, going back to stroking your head while he enveloped your still shaking body in a warm embrace. Comforting you and slightly helping with the trauma of having to kill a person on a mission.

Not that it helped that it was your first time ever killing another ninja on a mission and though seeing and unfortunately, having to kill other Shinobi on missions that were life-threatening was a reality that Shisui knew you would have to adapt to quickly if you were to survive in the ninja world. But for now, Shisui would comfort you. Shisui would comfort you and hope that it would lessen the guilt that you definitely felt for having taken another's life.

Though Shisui would never, ever tell anybody except another trusted friend and fellow clanmate of his, Itachi. It pained Shisui to admit to himself that he and Itachi both had become numb, almost unaffected by the sight of death before them. But maybe that was because he and Itachi were now Anbu, highly skilled ninja both from a stone-cold, no lovey-dovey clan.

And you, sweet ol' innocent lil' you? You were raised in an orphanage, soon to be adopted into the Uzumaki clan and soon trained to become a ninja while now also the heir and expected to be the next leader of said clan. But alas, you were still hurt by a seemingly mundane thing such as death.
