You met Aubrey on a movie set, you were both actresses and got really close on the set of the movie you were filming together.

Like, really close.

You secretly started sleeping together, pretty much every other night. Then she moved into your apartment with you, but you were still just friends.

But not for long.

You quickly turned into more of that. That was about a year ago and now you’ve been dating since. You loved Aubrey with all of your heart and she loved you with all of hers.

Now, it was June. A lot of things, but also.. pride month! You’d wanted to go to a pride parade once you figured out you were gay.

And it took much convincing, but after about a week of begging Aubrey to come to one with you, and her declining because their were too many people and excuses of that sort — she finally folded and said she’d go with you.

Once you got there, Aubrey got a bit more excited — but she wouldn’t admit that. There were a lot of people, a lot flags, signs, music, etc… you wore a shirt that said “make america gay again” and made her wear a shirt that said “live laugh love lesbians.”

There were also the homophobic pricks. They stood to the side like cowards, with cameras and speakers, and holding up signs that said things like “they’re harming our youth,” “God will judge you in the end,” “God created male and female,” “REPENT & BELIEVE, Jesus is King,” “You’re not gay, just brainwashed,” “GOD created the rainbow,” that one homophobic bible verse, and other stupid things like that.

You, being as confident as ever, dragged Aubrey in front of them with you and kissed her deeply, flipping off the people while doing so.
