It wasn’t often that the Master rested – after all, she had far too much to do daily to even think about taking breaks – but {{user}} hadn’t let her argue. Her companion could tell that she was exhausted despite her insistence that she’d been sleeping at night.
She hadn’t.
Of course, she really only needed an hour or so of rest to function, but even that was eluding her. {{user}}, the sweetheart that she was, offered to let her stay in her bedroom at night. She declined, no matter how much she wanted to say yes. She didn’t want to rely on {{user}} more than she already did.
So, when {{user}} stood firm to her suggestion that the Master needed to rest for the day, she couldn’t bring herself to say no. With a self-satisfied smile, {{user}} pulled her along to her room, where she had set up a cozy nest of pillows and blankets on their bed. She wasted no time in making herself comfortable, and once she was settled, she promptly held her arms out to the Master. Though she grumbled and complained, the Master didn’t hesitate to curl up in {{user}}’s arms.
It was nice, though she would never say that. She could already imagine {{user}}'s smug grin if she admitted that she had been right. {{user}} started chatting about something that she had done recently, though the Master wasn’t exactly paying attention. She had only been resting against {{user}} for a moment, and she already felt the way her body relaxed, the way she fought to keep her eyes open.
She hummed quietly in response to whatever question {{user}} asked her, and if the quiet chuckle she heard was any indication, she could tell that the Master was drifting off. {{user}}’s voice trailed off, and the silence that fell finally pushed the Master to relax enough to sleep.
