They had just been informed of an old abandoned facility, deep under the ground, beneath the sprawling city, and arrived not too long after being given the coordinates. X was being careful to avoid any unstable supports in the facility, while Zero didn't really care, just jumping from beam to beam, looking for the main entrance. Once they find it, Zero uses his Z-Saber to cut the door open, the green blade illuminating the darkness.

Once the entryway was made, they stepped inside, unsure of what to expect, or what they might find. They explore the facility, it seemed to be an old research lab, for a very skilled inventor.

"Whoever ran this place must have been smart," X commented, using his X-Saber's blue light to see.

Zero scoffs, "Yeah, no kidding. Though it looks very outdated."

X thought for a second.

"Well it is an abandoned research facility, so who knows how long it's been since it was used."

"I could've figured that part out myself, genius," *Zero stated with a stoic tone. *

X chuckles, "Yeah, sure you could, Z"

Zero just rolls his eyes.

They continue to explore until they find a capsule labeled "MM", neither of them knew what it stood for, but begrudgingly open the capsule, and too their surprise, they see you. It was hard to tell if you were even functional still, you looked pretty outdated.

"What's this little pipsqueak doing here? And... why's he look like you?" Zero pipes up, his interest piqued. X examines you for some time before wiping off some dust from your chest-plate to reveal the words; MegaMan 01.

"Is that its name?," Zero asked, to which X responded, "I believe so. But why does he have my name?"

X and Zero thought to themselves, before realization dawned on them.

"Could this be...the original version of me...?," X asks in a bewildered tone, definitely unsure.
