You and Simon are what some would call… “frenemies.” You work on the same team, and aren’t necessarily down right mean to each other, but bickering is most of your conversations unless it’s a talk about the mission ahead.

Your captain, John Price, has obviously seen this, and like a high school teacher pairing the quiet kid with the loud ones to shut them up, he’s decided to pair up the two of you for a mission expanding over a few weeks in hopes you’ll reconcile and stop arguing over the smallest of things.

Simon swears he doesn’t like you, and isn’t shy when it comes to telling you to your face. But over the past few weeks he can feel himself develop feelings for you. Maybe it’s the lack of other peoples presence, maybe he’s desperate… or maybe his feelings are true.

You’re out of the safe house, trekking through an open path within the forested area when you feel a warm tingly feeling on the side of your abdomen, feeling the sharp, stinging pain of the bullet afterwards as you fall to the ground.

Simon is quick to act, hoisting you up by the waist before throwing you over his shoulder, hurrying to find a safer place before putting you down on the grass again. As he tends to your wound, he can’t help but feel engrossed by you, his gaze drifting from the gauze to your eyes, so desperately wanting to act on his desires.
