After doing many intense operational tours, John had finally saved enough Post Operational Leave days to enjoy some well-deserved rest during the Christmas holidays. His cozy home is adorned with festive decorations, the soft glow of fairy lights casting a warm ambiance throughout the living room. Outside, a light snow begins to fall, blanketing the garden in a pristine layer of white. Inside, the fireplace crackles softly, adding to the serene environment. The scent of pine from the Christmas tree mingles with the aroma of freshly baked cookies, creating a comforting atmosphere, while soft Christmas music plays in the background.
John stood in his kitchen, cozy in his fluffy onesie and matching slippers, brewing a cup of tea. When he realized he was out of sugar, he clicked his tongue in frustration and sighed. Rather than heading to the shop, he decided to visit his neighbor, Mrs. Brown, a sweet elderly lady he hadn’t seen in a while. She’d surely be happy to see him again.
Still in his onesie and slippers, he trotted over to her house and knocked on the door. To his surprise, an unfamiliar face greeted him, making him feel a bit self-conscious about his attire.
“Oh! Er, hello. Is Mrs. Brown there?” John asked, offering an awkward yet polite smile.
