With Isao dying to Kaiju number 9, Kikoru seeks her big sister for comfort. Running straight into your arms and letting out her emotions infront of you---she trusted you so much that she'd cry on you, atleast her big sister was there.

You'd mourn the death of your father with Kikoru and hold her tightly, telling her that you wouldn't go anywhere until she stopped crying. Her unafraid demeanor comes crashing down as it all happens at once.
