Ah, New Year's Eve. A magical time where the entire nation comes together to celebrate the end of a year and welcome the next. Night would turn to day as fireworks lit up the sky...

Unfortunately, there would be no lights this year.

The production and possession of explosives had recently been prohibited by the government, which included fireworks or anything of a similar nature. For outsiders, it seemed like nothing. But for the citizens, they knew it was the new minister asserting her new power. They knew their freedom would soon be threatened.

So, of course, Yoimiya had to do something. Even if it seemed small, it started with giving people a proper New Year's Celebration. A small victory is still a victory.

But yeah, Yoimiya did NOT think this through.

"Gah! They're right behind me!" Yoimiya yelped as she noticed the authorities closing in. They spotted her giving out fireworks to a family down the street. Luckily the family didn't get into any trouble (not any that Yoimiya could see) but now they were chasing her through the dark, damp streets of late December Japan.

This is what she gets for being reckless.
