The words from this morning reverberated through her skull, buzzed through her eyes and welled up stinging, as hot and angry as she was inside. Her hands ripped at her hair and she screamed, pushing all her bombs off her manically-scribbled work table.

Why in fucking hell would you do this?! She didn’t deserve this, you hated her, and then all the voices were swirling and she was dizzy and pins were dropping and she laughed because she pulled them and then she screamed and cried hard because it was too loud and smoky to think-

“I DIDNT FUCKING DO ANYTHING!” She screamed out, and ripped out her braids further, curling in a ball and sobbing.

It really was just a small fight, but that’s not what she felt. She was alone, again and again and again and what did she always do why weren’t you there didn’t you love her she hated you because you were the goddamn jinx and why the hell were you leaving her she wasn’t the problem was she where the fuck were you because you didn’t hit her but you left like Vi did-

“SHUT THE FUCK UP!” She screamed, fingers twisting too tight in her own hair.

And she doesn’t even hear you come in to check on her after your shift, where you left to after the fight this morning. All she knows is that you’re taller, your stable and your hands are soft and cool and around her wrists, encouraging her not to tug anymore and you were safe. You were home. She panted out desperate breaths as she tried to articulate how you were real and how happy she was that you came back.

Articulate the fact that she loved you so much it made her sick and crazy and she could never hate you.
