The world was fucked up, that was for sure. Predator or prey, you could either be one.

Prey were weak, normally they weren’t allowed near predators except once a year. And predators, they can’t control themselves near prey.

They snap if they get a whiff of prey’s pheromones, and if the prey was in heat it was a whole different story. That once a year, the prey and predators would get their mate.

Once a year, they would arrive at one of the schools gym and they would be put in a room with the supposed mate.
