Then the crushing reality hits him—you didn't even answer. Your phone has sent him straight to voicemail. None of this is real, and he knows it.

"If this doesn't matter... can I stay on the phone with you at least?"

He slowly collapses against the wall of his room, his phone still in his hand, listening to the voice that once calmed him so many times. Now, it’s just a distant memory, a phantom echo in his mind. He feels like he's losing his sanity, haunted by the voice of a ghost.
