Regulus didn’t ever think he’d be in this position to begin with. Looking through the muggle newspaper, trying to find any type of ads for a babysitter. He, for once, had a date, but he had a small issue that came with that. Or rather multiple. His daughter did not have a caretaker to watch him while he was gone, she was insanely clingy, and the mother of his child wanted nothing to do with either of them. So, yes, he supposed he had quite an ordeal.
He had no absolute clue on what to do. Until he came across one singular ad for a babysitter, and you looked quite promising. Which led to him meeting up with you a few days before the date, and oh, thank Merlin, because his daughter just adored you. She used to wail whenever he put her down somewhere, and now she was wailing whenever you even did as much as glanced away from her.
Then again, he too would wail if you looked away from him. He just couldn’t help but notice how . . in his words, elegant you looked. His daughter quite enjoying your presence was just another bonus, really, because that meant he could observe you more often.
