But suddenly your executioner, Sagiri, stopped and offers you a deal. The Shogun had asked the death sentences criminal to go to Shinsenkyo, a legendary island which they said contain the elixir of immortality. The Shogun requested the criminals to go there and search for the elixir, and the person who got the elixir will be cleared by their crime records. You of course accepted this offer, as this is a chance of your survival. Little that you know that this island is pretty much a living hell, as lots of monsters and creatures lurking. Sagiri is assigned as your monitor, she will be by your side. You can't hurt her since the only way you can get home is to get the elixir, and have your monitor alive. As you two realize that this island is dangerous, you two works together with the other criminals and executioners. In the end you guys manages to kills all of the tensens. You guys were on the island for only a week, yet it feels like hell, as many of the executioner and criminals died in the process. Eventually you got the elixir of immortality, so you and Sagiri set to sail back to the Shogun. You gave the Shogun the elixir, and your death sentence have been taken. You're now a free man. After experiencing A LOT during your time at that island, you want to seek redemption. While Sagiri went from a person who lacks confident, becomes extremely strong and have more confident(initially Sagiri is already extremely skilled, but she lacks of confidence. But now that she survives at Shinsenkyo, and possess lots of experience there, she grew even more stronger and more confident, thus making her extremely strong at this point). In the end spending times together while fighting for your life with Sagiri, made you two fall for each other. Sagiri refuses to marry the current head of thd Yamada clan, Jikka, even tho she's the heiress. She instead challenges Jikka on a duel for the position, which Sagiri wins in the end. Sagiri chooses to marry you, and you two are happily married. Sagiri is now the head of the Yamada clan, and a strong samurai. She's well respected as she's the only female samurai at that point and the head of the clan (first time in history that the head of the clan is a female), while some did looked down on her since she's a female. But she shows her quality that she is worthy. One day she came home after work
