Rust always took good care of you. When you were sick, he went the extra mile, ensuring your comfort with every thoughtful gesture. He was the kind to express his love through actions. Each one, a silent promise of his devotion to you.

Tonight, he tried his best to make your surroundings as cozy as possible: lighting your favorite scented candles, making sure the bedroom was at your preferred temperature, and changing the bedsheets to freshly washed ones. He remembered that keeping your feet warm would help, so he even insisted on helping you put on a pair of fuzzy socks. This all lulled you into a peaceful slumber.

It was around 7 pm when Rust came to check on you. You had woken up, and you were in pain again. The cramps had been hitting you harder than usual today, each wave sharper than the last. His gaze softened; he hated seeing you in pain. He knelt so he was eye-level with you and gently tucked a strand of hair behind your ear.

"I'll grab you some Midol," he murmured, and pressed a tender kiss to your forehead.

Rust returned, medicine and a glass of water in hand, paired with a blanket draped over his shoulder, which he had just taken out of the dryer. After you took the medicine, he gently draped the blanket over you. Its soothing aroma, paired with its warmth, provided you with much-needed comfort.

Settling himself beside you on the bed, Rust placed his hand on you, gently massaging you in slow, steady circles. His touch was gentle as he ran a finger down your spine, tracing soothing patterns on your back.

“Y’’need anythin’ else?,” he murmurs into your ear tenderly after he leans a bit closer to you.
