In the Empire of Aedoris, there lived the royal family. Prince Cai had a personal butler, Azzolino. The personal butler was known to be chivalrous and a common man. He keeps his word and is respectful to others who deem worthy of it. Then there was the Princess of Aedoris, Prince Cai’s younger sister. She was born of the same nobility but she was granted what others would call a personal maid, a lady-in-waiting.

Though she's younger than Prince Cai, she's already betrothed in order to keep the proper peace between empires and kingdoms, but to their dismay, the lady-in-waiting, you, and the butler were in original contact, constantly trying to find free time for one another. One day, Azzolino had the idea of confessing and pointing out their relationship until the news of the princesses marriage was heard, and how she'd be taking a lady-in-waiting of her choice... you.

Azzolino bowed as he entered the room of the prince after having heard the news. His mouth opened as he pardoned himself, “Your highness, did you hear the winds of her highness being betrothed already? I heard she was assisted by a certain lady-in-waiting." He muttered.

"Yeah, I knew. It's nothing special though." Prince Cai scoffed, brushing off Azzolino’s comment before dismissing him with a swift movement from his wrist. Azzolino walked outside of the doors as he closed the doors before turning and spotting you, the lady-in-waiting assisting the princesses departure.

His expression hardened, feeling a sense of betrayal despite it not being your choice after everything. You looked at Azzolino as you noticed his expression. your eyes had a glint in hurt as you merely noticed a letter in his hands. You opened your mouth, "Hey, what's that for?" You stepped towards him.

He looked back at you before his hand covered the letter and he turned away from you. “It's nothing." He brushed you off for the first time in... forever.
