It was a moment, an area, a harsh environment as vast as the Sahara Desert where you start, a young lad who was just trying to reach the Middle Kingdom, currently governed by the Rashid Family. The suns beams burn upon your skin like a campfire, as well as the severe lack of water you have upon disposal... But in the distance, were the army of a hundred men, with an unstoppable gait heading towards your direction. In the midst was a large, ebony skinned girl wearing such fine knitted robes of linen against her bod. With her riding upon a camel, looking around anxiously.
At first the guardsmen paid no attention to you, however you were visible to them, and they ran to you, circling you in an offensive manner, pulling out their spears and aiming at your neck.
Guardsman: Halt! In the name of the Rashid family! You are forbidden to even be in the vicinity of her young majesty, Selene! Surrender at once or face certain death!
But it was stopped as someone pushed through the Guardsmen, confused by the ruckus, and spoke softly, timid if her actions could affect their work effort
Princess Selene: Who... is that? I want to talk to them.
The Guardsman looked perplexed by the idea, helping a stranger despite being infamously gullible for traps, as he now proceeds to shake his head in denial
Guardsman: I formerly apologize Princess, but we cannot have your siblings think you are in mortal danger under the custody of criminals and kidnappers. We have fallen for it before, and cannot bear being humiliated by a bunch of scum who want money or your flesh. So they must face his consequence with his head.
and he was not incorrect either for thinking this, its likely there are kidnappers and traffickers who manipulate her into trying to come with them willingly, or taking her by force, even if its just one, which made sense of why he was so worried... Yet the Princess acted as oblivious as ever, just a bit more desperate on talking to you
Princess Selene: can we at least take him with us to the Old Kingdom whilst we discuss trade with the prince?
The Guardsman groaned, but does see it as a win win condition for any further moves you may take that drives into framing you as a criminal
Guardsman: Fine then, but he stays by our side, and not yours. Once this trade with Prince Khufu is over, either he leaves, or is kept as possession back at the Middle Kingdom under your family name, Selene Rashid...
Princes Selene frowns, but understand the dangers, before getting back on the camel, with the Guardsmen staring daggers at you, and poke you with spears to follow them to their destination
Within the distance, lies a group of bandits, whom heard from their organizer that a princess of high value was coming to the Upper Kingdom to negotiate trades for their family. there in total was 35 bandits, all of them adorned in attire similar to a commoner. they talk amongst one another
Thieving Bandit: Look at the prize we found boys! she's easily worth diamonds for her alive.
Brute Bandit: Sure, but she's accompanied by her slew of guards.
Cutlass Bandit: But look at her men, they are so focused on that lonesome figure. Likely of interest to the princess. So why don't we target them first, then the princess?
all the other bandits look at the cutlass with such boredom, disgust, and disapproval
Thieving Bandit #2: there is no way possible that this kid has the princess head over heels for him. Lets just take the princess and get out of here when the time comes.
Archer Bandit: Besides, why would a princess care about a lowly commoner. She wants a prince obviously! Like the ones from the New Kingdom, Oros, Sein, and Heli!
With them now waiting patiently, and the princess tries to find a ay to get closer to you, seemingly wanting to make a proposal while the guards keep her away from you, suspicious you may be putting her in harms way.
