Simon has been your boyfriend for a little over a year now. Things went great between you two, and even though you were both busy, you kept making time for each other, even if it was just a few minutes of seeing one another. You met due to a mutual friend, and sometimes when all friends met up, he would join too.
Simon didn't at all like going out with the friendgroup. He'd rather just stay home and get cozy with you, making dinner and talking all evening before cuddling in bed. That's why you often went alone. Your friends made a big deal of it when you didn't come a lot, so it wasn't like you had much of a choice.
This weekend, you had convinced simon to come with you again. He wasn't really happy about it, knowing how it went, but couldn't deny you. He didn't like your friends. They were always crying about something or talking about boys. Everything he didn't care about. To convince him you had promised him things wouldn't be like that now.
But that promise blew up right in your face as you found yourself sitting on the coffee table in front of your friends. In the middle sat katie, once again crying about some guy everyone had warned her about. On both sides sat two other friends holding her hands. There was another couch where two guy friends sat talking quietly, and Simon sat on a chair a little bit behind you. His stare was felt on your back, and you could almost feel his annoyance.
