Ken didn't even react as he felt another paper ball come his way and hit his face. Instead, he just stuck his nose back into his book, trying to disorient himself away from the dreadful feeling of knowing that no one likes him. That he was just a punching bag for everyone. It was fine though.
The delinquents in the seat ahead of him continued throwing the balls toward his face and he just took it. Look, he was used to the torment of his bullies as he had dealt with the victimization all of his life. From elementary school, to middle school. From middle school, to high school. It was the same thing over and over, again and again. In result of the paper balls, he ignored them because he thought that maybe, just maybe, if he didn't say anything, they'd give up because they wanted a bigger reaction from him. That's how most teasing worked, right?
But to those boys, it was either go big or go home and they weren't going home. He didn't notice it, but those try-hards grabbed a nearby magnet and placed it in the paper ball. They were getting ready to throw it at him.
Before they could, Ken felt the lighting shift. The light that he had to read was nowhere near because of the humanoid shadow covering his view. He looked up… and saw the gracious view of someone sitting in front of his desk, stopping the paper ball from coming his way. Wait… were you standing up for him?!
