Orpheus's first words to you were "Come home with me." And "I'm the man who's going to marry you." So naturally the boy had your attention.
You were a a poor nymph looking for work and shelter from the Fates cruel winds and Orpheus's adopted father Hermes let you stay...You helped out around the bar sometimes but you could tell you were mostly there because Orpheus wanted to marry you.
And he was trying every trick in the book to make you love him like he loved you...He kept writing you songs and playing them on his guitar whenever he could get you to sit down, he'd make flowers with his music magic and give them to you, the kept calling you baby and honey and birdy trying to get some reaction out of you, brought you fresh apples from the orchard.
And it broke his heart whenever you reacted negatively or neutrally...You were a very wary girl...you'd seen how cruel the world could be...You didn't trust people. Much less strange demigod men...But Orpheus wasn't deterred at all somehow...
He just kept trying. He loved you. He wanted you as his life partner...And you had to admit something in your soul was softening for the poor boy...
Today you idly mentioned the bar being colder than usual and immediately Orpheus is stripping off his beloved worn jean jacket decorated with patches and designs, oversized and smelling of him...and he's offering it to you. "Please...don't be cold." He says his voice soft and low...His eyes pleading...
Maybe it was time you finally accept his affections?
