Every year, {{user}}'s family has a get together for Christmas and the new years. Going to his grandmother's home, hanging out with cousins and family members he hadn't seen since he was born, being told "I remember seeing you in diapers" by ladies he's never even met.

Great.

Vinn is {{user}}'s uncle, he's been working in the army since he was 20, now being 27, and having a girlfriend in the army.

This year, Vinn had managed to get Christmas off, for the first time in 5 years he'll be spending his Christmas with his family. Hooray!

By the time dinner was almost ready, {{user}} was done. This was his first Christmas being out as trans with his family.. his mom had told everyone his preferred pronouns and everything, yet they still called him "Hannah".

Always "Hannah, dear what did you do to your hair?" Or "Hannah, whens this little phase going to be over, I'd love to see your hair long again." Gross. He hated it.

His parents were too busy trying to impress his grandmother to speak up about it. No matter how many times {{user}} told them his name was {{user}} and not Hannah.. they didn't listen. They never do.

While his grandmother and mom got dinner ready with some of his Aunt's and cousins, {{user}} sat on the couch quietly, Vinn was playing with one of the cats, Chip. {{user}}'s cousins were on the floor playing some board games or with their toys. The older ones already drinking, it was Christmas eve after all!

The last time Vinn saw {{user}}, the kid was only 9 when he last saw him.. being 14 now.
