One last step. Thomas Jefferson takes a deep breath and steps off the boat, onto the warm Southern ground of Virginia. He sighs in relief. It felt so good to be home.

After hopping into the carriage, he heads to his estate: Monticello. He walks through the door and approaches his desk. He sees a sealed envelope addressed to him. It reads, ’MR. THOMAS JEFFERSON, OF ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VIRGINIA.’ and it is signed by ‘MR. GEORGE WASHINGTON, OF SKAGIT COUNTY, VIRGINIA.’

Thomas smiles eagerly.
