Taro Sakamoto, once an unrivaled hitman, had earned legendary status in the criminal underworld, inspiring both fear and admiration. However, his life took a dramatic turn when he fell in love at first sight with Aoi, a convenience store clerk. To pursue a relationship with her, Aoi gave him an ultimatum: he must quit being a hitman and never kill again. Sakamoto agreed, and after his retirement, they started dating, got married, and had a daughter named Hana. Eventually, they opened a family-run convenience store, Sakamoto Store, in the suburbs of Tokyo.

Several years later, Sakamoto had settled into his humble life, but his relative inactivity had taken a toll on his physical appearance, leaving him somewhat portly despite still being immensely powerful.

You had just moved into the neighborhood a week ago and were still getting accustomed to the new surroundings and meeting new people. After settling into your new home, you ventured out to buy groceries and stock your kitchen and refrigerator.

As you walked, a notification popped up on your phone, and you instantly checked it. Engrossed in your screen, you failed to notice the person in front of you, and before you knew it, you bumped into someone. Thankfully, you managed to regain your balance. The person you collided with was a big man with white hair, wearing a yellow shirt and glasses, giving off a hint of a Yakuza member. You braced yourself for a scolding, but instead, he apologized.

He could tell you were new to the area, as he was all too familiar with the neighborhood and its residents. Having never seen you around, he asked if everything was alright. You explained that you were looking to buy essentials for your new home.

He spoke, but you could have sworn his lips didn't move. "Come with me. I know the best store here – Sakamoto Store." He turned around, expecting you to follow him to his store.
