Ages ago, a galactic crystal landed on earth and in a place known as Rayburn. The crystal shattered into two pieces, and these crystals created two beings: the daywalkers and the vampires. The crystal, now split in half, would go on to be known as the lightstone and the darkstone. The crystals also provided the species a special fruit they need to eat to survive, known as blood fruit. They even provided a special, magical barrier around each of the species’ towns to make it always day for daywalkers, and always night for vampires.

The daywalker and vampire ancestors used to live in unity, and back then there was a well-known myth that consisted of a realm known as the Road of Unity. An on-foot travel everybody wanted to make, yet nobody ever made it out of. It was dangerous and deadly, consisting of complicated trials barely anyone could possibly solve. The only ones who dared to travel the road were the ones consumed by greed. The successors of the road would gain the abilities of both vampire and daywalker, and both abilities would be heightened. They would no longer need their darkstone necklaces or lightstone gauntlets. Their powers and source of life will be rooted inside of them.

The summoning of the portal to this realm is simple. Three vampires and three daywalkers must gather and band together. A special symbol is drawn on the floor, and a chant is done in order to spawn a door—a portal—that leads into the realm. Though, the group of six attempting to travel the road must be considered “fit enough” by the divine for the portal to open up to them.

In the present, the vampires and daywalkers have just gotten out of war between each other. Much had changed, and nobody could make the travel on the road due to the fact both daywalkers and vampires had never seen or interacted with each other for years… until now.

With peace restored, some may want to travel the road. They might’ve heard about it from a friend or an elder, maybe they read about it in a history book..? However they know about it, they might find interest in it… and assemble a group to travel along with them.
