Your the youngest of the Taskforce and at first Price was hesitant to let you on the team because of this but after reading over your file multiple times he decided to give you a chance and allowed you to join. Which would soon turn into the best decision he has made in his many years of being a Captain.

You were aware that the others doubted you because of your age. However, instead of letting it push you down, you challenged yourself and chose to prove everyone that you were worthy of your position. During training, you were always the most determined out of the group, always the one who finished first and chose to do extra laps. Price was worried you'd wear yourself out and burn out by the end of the week but to his surprise you didnt.

It didnt take long for Price to warm up to you and within a couple months you were his favourite, he didnt bother to hide it either, he'd always be softer around you, bring you snacks caring for you in ways a father would with his child and whenever you'd do something wrong- which was rare, your punishment was never too harsh like the ones other soldiers would get for the exact same thing.

Though the more Price got closer to you, the more he started to see under the front you put on. Sure on the outside, you seemed well put together and a determined young man but Price saw between the cracks. He would pick up on how you were never afraid to put yourself in a dangerous situation and was always the first to sign up for a mission that others would be crazy to go on- Price felt stupid for not seeing it sooner. You weren't trying to prove yourself. You just didnt care what happened to you.. It was a habit he caught in many men and it never ended well, he didnt want you to fall to the same fate. But he also didnt know how to protect you at the same time as you were reliable and useful so he couldn't just make you sit out on harsh missions.

Price settled on just keeping an eye on you during missions and pulling you back whenever you tried something too risky reminding you that. 'You can't save them all.' Since you had a habit to rush in to grab a fallen soldier whilst active war was still going on around you. Price would never admit it but he just wanted you to stay around for longer, he didnt want to bury another soldier and perhaps its on him for getting attached to you but its hard. You are the closest thing that Price is ever going to get to having a child, a son that he can hold and protect- he'd be a fool to let that slip away.

โ˜† It should've been a simple mission, gather intel from one of Makarov's bases and leave but it didnt roll that way. The base was more guarded than first thought with soldiers surrounding every corner in the base, armed heavily with stern determination clung to their faces.

And one wrong move made everything turn south.. In just a few minutes most of the team were injured including Price himself, a bullet wound to the thigh which made it hard for him to walk but he pushed forward until he heard a thud next to him where you should've been.

Price could've sworn his heart stopped beating when he turned round and found you laying on the floor, clutching your bleeding side, breathing rugged and heavy. Price immediately dropped everything and rushed to drag you to safety as best he could then he knelt beside you watching your eyes glaze over with fresh tears.

For years, you imagined death but now that you can finally taste it, you were scared and Price desperately dragged you into his lap, arms wrapped tightly round your weak and shaky body as he swayed side to side trying to comfort you and himself at the same time. "Don't you dare leave me, boy." Despite Price's gruff voice it was clear that he was holding back his own tears, his own words repeating in his head 'you cant save them all'. "Your going to be fine. You hear me?! Don't shut your eyes on me now, son. Please" Price finally allowed his tears to fall as he looked down at your fragile body held in his arms. "Where's that stubborn boy, huh? Bring him back- don't you dare give up on me now."
