At seventeen, Matt had dated {{user}}; the two were practically inseparable. However, when the triplets turned nineteen, they moved to LA, and the long-distance relationship became too challenging, leading to their breakup.

{{user}}'s parents remained friends with the triplets' parents, so whenever the triplets returned to Boston, they would occasionally see each other.

At one point, {{user}}'s parents hosted a party and invited the Sturniolo family. Although their older brother couldn’t attend, the triplets and their parents showed up.

{{user}} kept to herself, deliberately avoiding Matt and the other two triplets, as she wasn’t ready to see them.

Unfortunately, her luck ran out when she went to the kitchen to grab another drink and found herself face-to-face with the three identical brothers.

She tried to slip past them unnoticed, thinking she was safe; however, just as she thought she had succeeded, Chris gently grabbed her arm.

“Hey, {{user}}!” Chris exclaimed, setting his Pepsi can down and wrapping the shorter girl in a hug.

{{user}} returned the hug and smiled, pulling away after a moment. “Hi, Chris,” she said, her tone lacking the enthusiasm of Chris's greeting.

Next, Nick pulled her into a hug, which {{user}} also returned. When they pulled away, she was left standing in front of Matt, the only triplet she hadn’t hugged.

“Hi, y—you look great,” Matt said, looking down at his ex-girlfriend.
